Today is a big day because my roommate and I checked something off of our list of goals. Sadly, it was on our list for over a year, but all that really matters is that we finally did it.
We made chocolate and peanut butter apples! And arranged the finished product on a plate to make it look nice!
It wasn’t hard to do so I can’t figure out why it took so long. We saw a picture of it on Instagram last year and thought it was so cute, so we recreated it to the best of our ability.
We made little bowls out of apples and filled one with melted chocolate and the other with peanut butter. We used sprinkles and chocolate chips for toppings. The toppings made the apples look fancier. We didn’t have any candy corn like the picture, but we will when we make it again. We also decided mini m&ms would be a nice addition next time, but there are endless possibilities for toppings.
Once we arranged everything on the plate and took cute pictures of it, we finally sat down to eat the snack we had waited a whole year for. It was great. The warm chocolate was perfect on the apples that were fresh out of the fridge. The sprinkles and chocolate chips added a nice crunch to the already crunchy apples and made them look cuter. And obviously the peanut butter and chocolate combo was perfect because it was essentially a Reese’s apple.
I am very happy that we finally did this and I no longer have to bring it up all the time. I will definitely be making this again, but plan to use all Fuji apples because they were better with the chocolate and peanut butter than the Galas… at least in my opinion.
