I love pb&j and yogurt, so one day I decided I should try combining them. It might not be everyone’s go-to snack, but it is a nice twist on a classic lunch. Obviously, it is very simple and you only need four ingredients.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup rolled oats
- 2 T powdered peanut butter (I used Mighty Nut by Peanut Butter & Co)
- 1T jam or jelly (I used Sarabeth’s Blueberry Cherry jam)
- 1 container of plain Greek yogurt
Once you have all of your ingredients together, you mix them all into the Greek yogurt. The peanut butter and jelly/jam blend nicely into the yogurt. The oats act as the bread, while the Greek yogurt packs in some extra protein you wouldn’t get with an ordinary pb&j.
It is a healthy and gluten free option for those of you who choose not to or cannot have bread due to an allergy. And it is the perfect solution for when you don’t have any bread on hand when in need of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
